Post-doctoral candidate recruitement

The Raz Lab at McGill University invites applications for a postdoctoral position.

Our interdisciplinary research focuses on the cognitive sciences and draws on techniques such as eye-tracking and imaging of the living human brain (at the Montreal Neurological Institute) to elucidate atypical planes of attention including the influence of training, suggestion, and placebos (see razlab.mcgill.ca). Applicants must hold a PhD and a strong publication record in relevant fields. In addition, successful applicants will possess the following experience and skills:

-Familiarity with psychological science and cognitive neuroscience research including design of experiments, write up of ethics protocols, data collection and analysis, and the publication of scientific papers, especially drawing on the following techniques: EEG/ERP, fMRI, MEG, TMS, fNIRS, tDCS;
-Programming proficiency (e.g., MATLAB) and familiarity with relevant analysis platforms (e.g., SPM, BESA, SAS, Brain Voyager);
-Strong knowledge of statistics and theory of data analysis;
-Excellent written and oral communication;
-Strong work ethic and self-motivation;
-Ability to work alone as well as in a team;
-Independence, creativity, leadership, mentorship, drive, and perseverance.
