Attention Training

We are currently running an Attention Training intervention research project. Based on findings of improved behaviour and non-verbal intelligence as a result of computerized attention training, we are re-evaluating the computer program's effectiveness.

We have adapted the original program (developed by Dr Posner's research group at Oregon University and the Sackler Institute), for 4-11 year old children with attention and self-regulation difficulties. Thus, we would like to see if there are differences between both healthy children and children with attention difficulties. We are trying to identify when the best time to optimize the training effects is and wish to focus on age differences between groups of children ages 4 to 7 and groups ages 8 to 11.

Time commitment is up to 4 months, and involves ten 30-minute training sessions over the course of 3-4 weeks (three times per week). Every child participant receives attention training with a trained research assistant in a fun and safe environment.
